New energies · the fuel station of tomorrow

The future fuels up differently. So can your station.

Fossil was yesterday. Almost.

HVO instead of fossil diesel, CNG and LPG at the pump: the fuel station is changing – and those who convert early stay in business. We check what your installation can already do, convert what's needed and supply the right equipment.

New fuels don't need a new station. They need someone who knows what they're converting.

HVO CONVERSION

Drop-in doesn't mean eyes shut and pour

HVO is a drop-in diesel with a better CO₂ footprint – in principle it can be dispensed through existing diesel infrastructure. In principle. Because before the first litre of HVO goes into your tank, it pays to take a close look at the installation.

We check whether the tank, pipework, seals, hoses, filters and dispenser are suitable for HVO – based on your component manufacturers' specifications. Whatever doesn't fit, we replace. Whatever does, we document.

That's how we upgraded AGROLA Zollbrück for HVO with a new Gilbarco SK700-II, for example – and at new builds like AGROLA Sirnach, HVO is on board from day one.

What we look at before you switch

We tailor the exact scope to your installation. Typically:

  • Inventory: which tanks, pipework and dispensers are installed?
  • Material compatibility of seals, hoses and pipework per manufacturers' specifications
  • Tank condition: if the compartment previously held unleaded petrol, a tank inspection is mandatory because of the different flash point. For diesel compartments it isn’t mandatory, but recommended.
  • Filters and dispenser – replaced if needed, e.g. with a Gilbarco Endura or SK700-II
  • Update product labels on the dispenser, fuel terminal and tank monitoring
  • Update the documentation – including the explosion protection document on request

QUICK QUESTIONS

Questions about new energies

HVO is considered a drop-in diesel – even so, the tank, pipework, seals and dispenser should be checked first. That's exactly what we do before the switch.
